About ROIS Crosstalk
The Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS) has been annually holding the “ROIS/I-URIC Young Researcher Crosstalk” as a collaborative program among the four research institutes in the Inter-University Research Institute Corporations (I-URIC) over a decade. This program had been offering opportunities for communications among different research fields and generations to I-URIC researchers and SOKENDAI students through training-camp-style workshops.
In 2020, we needed to change our meeting style to an online format due to the COVID-19 situation and this year will be the same. We will hold three virtual poster sessions and time/space of online social gathering for participants to talk freely with each other. The "Best Poster(s) Award” will be given for the posters that provoke more inter-disciplinary discussion. We hope participants will be able to develop a vision for the future of their own research and build a network of researchers beyond the organization through this event.
Join us, no matter how young or how experienced you are!

Social networking before December 20
We use "Slack" for discussion and social-networking. All participants, with or without poster presentation, are welcome to use this platform.
All participants: Please introduce yourself (name, affiliation, field of study, keywords that you are interested in, and anything else) at #introduction channel. If you have a poster presentation, you might want to mention your poster ID as well.
Poster presenters: Please use your own Slack channel for your presentation. In your poster’s channel, you can upload your poster if you want. You can also upload a pre-recorded poster presentation (~5 min or less). If such a pre-recorded poster presentation is uploaded on December 13 or before, you will be automatically enrolled to the Poster Award. (Hint: you can make a movie with zoom’s recording functionality.) If you are not interested in the Poster Award, you can upload it at any time; and it is not mandatory to upload the recording. All poster presenters will have a chance to give a live poster presentation on December 20 (see Poster session below).
Guidelines for preparation of the poster
Poster discussion session will be held in "Spatial Chat" (online virtual room). The URL of the Spatial Chat room and further information will be informed to participants after registration.
Non-presenters are also welcome!
Best Poster Award
Best poster(s) are chosen from poster presenters. Best poster award ceremony will be held in the joint event with I-URIC Colloquium later.

Please make posters easy and simple for the general audience from different research fields.
Please make it clear what kind of information you need from the audience from other research fields on your poster.
Poster Submission
Please submit your poster file with your poster number by the end of December 13 via e-mail or Slack. Then the poster will be placed in a Spatial Chat room by the executive committee on the day of the event (December 20).
Please put your poster file in the designated room of the Spatial Chat by yourself on the day of the event if you could not submit your poster file by the end of December 13.
